Welcome to  ZOAHABIT Acclimatising Coral

Acclimatising

Proceedure

Please welcome your zoas into a clean, well run, well maitained tank. Its better to adjust your water parameters if needed before your zoas arrive.

All zoas are different some may open within a few hours, others a few days or even a few weeks! Be patient, constantly moving your zoas will cause them stress and opening may be delayed, or worst case senario 'death.'

Melting is not uncommon with some of the more delicate zoanthids but this acclimatising proceedure will minimize the risk and ensure the zoas are given the best chance of survival.

3

Unpacking
Carefully unpack your zoa tubes from the box.

4

Turn off the lights
They have been in the dark for upto 24 hrs so they will be sensitive to light, dont shock them with the full power of your tank lights!

5

Temperature Balance

Float  the tubes in your tank for about 30 min.  They need to be warmed up to your tank temperature slowly.

6

Water Exchange

Preferablly with a pripet exchange about 50% of the water in the tube with your systems water and leave for 10-15 min.

Adjustment

You can now place the zoa into your tank ideally at the bottom in an area of middling flow and low light.

Ramp up the lights

Over a period of a couple of hrs slowly increase your lighting to its normal intensity.

7

Final Placement

After a few days the zoa will have adjusted to your water parameters and light and you can now move the frag to where you want it to grow.
